Rotherham - 16/05/15

    On Saturday 16th May 2015, far-right groups from across the country ('South East Alliance', 'North West Infidels', 'North East Infidels', 'English Volunteer Force', 'Sunderland Defence League', 'Scottish Defence League', 'English Defence League', 'Loyalist Defence League', 'AIF English Lions') gathered together in Rotherham to 'protest' and be angry about the recently revealed cases of grooming and abuse of young people in the town. Of course, it was more just about their hatred of multi-culturalism and particularly the muslim community. I find it sad and offensive for these groups to use such serious issues to promote their own twisted opinions and prejudices but yeah, I hopped on a bus and took some photographs, so here is a selection!

Konnichiwa!

    So, it has been a while since I've really posted anything on here. To be completely honest, I've been feeling a bit uninspired and knocked back - it does take a toll when you're job hunting in a city that doesn't seem to have any suitable jobs for your qualifications and no one will employ you elsewhere because of your qualifications!
    But yeah, I've been working on some projects a little and I have some big ideas for near-future projects that will be fun and fabulous and fantastic. So feel free to stick around for that.
    For now, I'm going to upload some pictures I've been taking here and there, just for fun. Enjoy!

    When I go to unfamiliar places I like to try and capture a glimpse of what it is like to live there. All people have such different experiences throughout life and I find it really interesting to learn about these lives and experiences.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

       I have been keeping a journal for about 5 years. I write down my thoughts on important things, doodle, just keep a record of things for myself. Some of my entries though, I have wanted to share for a while, this isn't so much a journal entry, but a bit of awareness about a debilitating illness. My ambition in this is to simply help and make people feel better and good about themselves when going through something that I do too.

       So yeah, deep breath, here goes...

Slough - 1st February 2014

       So, I've recently been working on a project called 'Broken Britain'. I figured a good place to start with was a juicy bit of fascism and violence, so I went to the English Defence League march in Slough. Unite Against Fascism were also there to oppose the EDL. I don't understand all the fighting violence with more violence thing, but at least UAF are accepting of everyone... Apart from the EDL and other far-right groups.

Islamophobia is the new racism and it needs to stop.
